Do you want to BLOG here?

If you are, then drop me a word and I will add you as an author to our school's community blog where you can share your own Ann's experiences or any of your life's experiences, tips ideas or anything that you would like to blog about in this space. Usually people don't want to start because they don't think they can continue, but if you have one-off random thoughts that you would like to jot, without having to create a whole new blog, this is the place to do it!

Hi. I was there from 1970 to 1973 and yes, I remember 'bathroom buchees' too. We still talk about that phrase in my family and laugh. I also remember the tamarind tree growing in the school grounds, but those grounds dont exist any more. Neither does the stage on the other side. Does anyone remember the rocking boats, but that yard with the rocking boats has gone too.

I remember the Singing Classes we had every week in the Hall....An Anglo Indian Teacher with a sweet smile, permed hair and pretty printed dress with a gathered skirt would sit gracefully on the Piano Stool and tickle the ivories for us as we sang old songs like SANTA LUCIA, YOU CAN SMILE, PACK UP YOUR TROUBLES IN AN OLD KIT BAG......etc., etc... How I loved those Singing Classes!

OUR SCHOOL SONG:

Scenes of our childhood,
Scenes of our youth,
The School we love and cherish dear
Preparing us for Life's rough way
St. Ann's forever, we will cheer!

CHORUS:
God bless our dear old school,
Our Mothers, Sisters, Teachers dear
Our Parents too and all our friends
Who will write thy name immortal
St Ann's, our Alma Mater fair
God bless you, is our daily prayer!

Knowledge is power,
We do admit,
But that alone is not worthwhile
.........I forget the rest of this verse.....
